.web .email will get plenty of registrations and become mainstream. I'm routing for .lol cause I like to laugh and everyone who is a comedian should have one. How to filter the non funny stuff could be a new app!

I thnk that .online and .web will be the best generic extensions.

I also believe in the potential of .cloud, the only "Italian" extension. It's growing slowly but regularly, it has many developed sites or redirects to the .coms, and the Chinese do not seem interested in this, so we should not see the roller coaster we see in other extensions.

.gdn is collapsing, the same for .top, .red and .mom are dead...

Personally I went from albenga.tel to albenga.directory and to albenga.online

Interesting comments, friends. So, don't you llike the .site TLD?
I believe that this is not going to collapse.

I see a problem with extensions like .click, .link and .site:
Better options exist with .club, .online and .web.
Serious businesses don't like to go for the second best option.
.site is already collapsing:

Extension without quality will have it difficult after the massive offers with previously special prices will expire.

I found that soon one generic key-word domain (interesting for my little business) from .ONLINE extension will go to drop. And I am thinking now is it worth to take it and to do few pages website on it?

It will be one of so called "descriptive domain name" (I do not want to reveal it's name now), like, for example, paintings.online or landscapes.online and the same.

I have few short-tale-keyword COM domains of the same area of business, and now I think, what it would be better for creating that website: to use one of these my .COMs or this single-keyword .ONLINE?

What could be shortcomings of using .ONLINE for a website?

@maxi

There are only three nTLDs with serious potential: .online, .shop and .web.
(The last isn't published yet.)

So, if your desired keyword is already taken under .com, then .online would be the second best option (after .com).

IMHO single keyword .online domains are better than several keywords .com domains.

MWX, thanks for your opinion!

I tried to find websites on single-word-generic keywords in .ONLINE, but it seems that there are not many of them exist.

That .ONLINE domain had expired and instead of being released for free registration it now has a label: "This domain has been reserved by the registry, and is not available for registration".

It seems that these newTDLs like to play games.

As I like predictable people and businessess, then choosing domain in .COM, perhaps, was a right decision for a long run.
